All the pictures and statues and things always depict a triumphant Michael stomping all over a fallen Lucifer, but I could not see it happening that way. Lucifer (from various canons, and my own) is extremely resourceful and, above all, he has his pride. I highly doubt he would just lay down and tell Michael, "okay, stomp here when you're ready." No, he would have made his mark before he Fell.
I don't know if I want to call Raphael's reaction stress, as he is rarely stressed even when pushed beyond his limits. The way I have written it, I think Michael is the one who is more stressed by the situation. Raphael is frustrated by Michael, yes, and he has so many people to attend to, but it is his purpose and he is comfortable with it. It is Michael, who takes it upon himself to rebuild his family, who is the most stressed by it. (That, and I dare say no one was more troubled by Lucifer's revolt than Michael was. They were painfully close in my canon, and losing his brother was a great blow.)
As Raphael reflects in the previous story, hope is something a healer can work with. ♥
(Also, thank you so much for replying, even though you were zombified. *hugs* Get some sleep!)
